Privacy Policy for Twitch Favorites Chrome Extension

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how the Twitch Favorites Chrome Extension (“the Extension”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

The Extension only collects the minimum data necessary to provide its features:

• Authentication Information:
  The Extension stores OAuth tokens obtained from Twitch to authenticate your account and enable personalized features such as retrieving your followed channels and checking their live status.
• Favorites and Settings:
  The Extension stores your list of favorite Twitch streamers and your individual extension settings (e.g., preferences for notifications, auto-open, etc.) locally in your browser.

We do NOT collect:

• Personally identifiable information (such as name, email, address)
• Health, financial, or payment information
• Personal communications
• Location data
• Web history, activity, or website content

2. Data Usage

• All collected data is used solely to provide the core functionality of the extension: fetching your favorite Twitch streamers’ live status, managing notifications, and handling your preferences.
• OAuth tokens are used only to authenticate with the Twitch API in order to retrieve information relevant to your Twitch account.

3. Data Storage

• Local Storage:
  All data (tokens, favorites, settings) is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s extension storage system.
• No External Storage:
  The Extension does not transmit your data to any external servers except Twitch (for API authentication) and our authentication backend for managing the OAuth process.

4. Data Sharing

• No Sale or Transfer:
  We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data to any third parties.
• No Analytics or Tracking:
  The Extension does not use analytics, advertising, or any third-party tracking.

5. Data Security

• All data is stored securely on your device.
• OAuth tokens are stored using Chrome's extension storage and are only accessible by the Extension.

6. User Control

• You may remove your data at any time by removing the Extension from your browser. This will delete all locally stored data.
• You may revoke the Extension’s access to your Twitch account at any time via your Twitch account settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the extension listing and/or via updates to this document.
